Imho much of our recent recovery was the market going from treating Tropicana as worthless to adding in a nominal value, perhaps something like A$50/oz? At the same time the penny seems to've dropped that IGO nickel margins are still decent.
The again it may just be that the irrational price caused by deleveraging ended (b4 we got to zero).
I have my benchmark against MCR et al with a nominal value for the gold, and I expect the gold component to appreciate nicely with time even if the ni part stagnates. Will lighten a little at some stage though.
