Sales of Tamiflu rose more than 200% to CHF1.01 billion, after the emergence in April of the swine flu virus led to new orders from governments that are purchasing the drug to treat the rapidly spreading virus. The bulk of the increase came from Japan, while Europe also contributed, but in the U.S. sales expanded only at a moderate pace.
