I have to say that I am completely mystified as to the logic you are using here Spendit.
Are you suggesting that Benitec is waiting to announce a deal AFTER the IPO? To me, that would be both improper and illogical. A deal would have to be made public in the prospectus if known about already. Furthermore, the logical approach, were a deal about to be announced, would be to announce the deal and then IPO. This would see the share price rise prior to the IPO and increase the capital raised or lower the dilution.
Unlike Calimmune's recent cr, Benitec is raising its capital through an IPO, so how could it IPO again to get more capital when results are known? The I in IPO means Initial which means you only get to do it once on any given exchange.
