    As I understand it and happy to be corrected, politicians are paid to be available for the electorate and Parliament 365 days a year.

    As such they don't have 'leave' in the same sense as us peons.

    However if they are absent from Parliament they have to have 'leave' for.

    Given that Labor is in power in Victoria Andrew's and Neville's leave would be rubber stamped.
