What is so good about WBT?
This was my train of thought last night so bare with me on this one.
Corneal Biometric and Corneal/Iris multi module biometrics
The key to WBT tech is its ability to be 'spoof proof' and withstand an outside attack. It is a simple and adaptable device.
'Spoof'- by definition is a hoax or to trick.
Now on the wave front web video it features Rob Mcadams. CEO of Pure Hacking.
I am of the opinion that he is on board to test and retest our vulnerability to an outside attack or hacking.
So what is wrong with the current bio metric technologies available?
Retina/Iris- Able to be tricked by a high resolution photo and if the security codes are hacked it can be reverse engineered and a replica eye can be made to trick the sensor.
Facial- A beard, makeup, face covering, Age, Plastic surgery all make this tech hard to function effectively.
Vein- Has already been hacked by a swiss research group. (see video)
Finger Print- very easy to replicate, hard to register for certain people due to scars, cuts, dirt etc
Corneal Biometrics
No 2 identical maps
Reflective light pattern is unique for each person
A one time bio metric pin (blink and its gone)
Likelyhood of an exact match is 2x10'823 (that a lot of zeros)
Will withstand an external "Brute Force Attack"
There is no reason that we cannot gain the majority market share of financial bio metric security, boarder protection etc if this tech is as good as Stephan Mason claims.
Hopefully independent testing gives us good false rejection and acceptance rates. As long as we are on par with industry standard results we will be in a very promising position.
