Recently Flambeau posted thatSantos’s Narrabri project would be in production in 2022 long before PEP 11would be available.
According to the WeekendAustralian October 3-4th Subject to the project receiving commonwealthEnvironmental approval a 12-18 month drilling APPRAISAL program will commencebefore the end of the year.
Santos will make a finalinvestment decision in 2022, first gas production in 2024 according to SantosCEO Kevin Gallagher
The Australian FinancialReview 1st October 2020 reports on comments by Credit Suisse analyst SaulKavonic that is anticipating a final decision as to whether to go ahead in2024.
Currently the cost of gaswill be more costly than the $4-$6 Gigajoule manufacturers are demanding.
Perhaps we should doublecheck the info that Flambeau is feeding us.
After all his / Her pseudoname “Flambeau” is a strange choice - It was the name G.K. Chestertonused in his Father Brown series for the Master Criminal, or otherwise theFrench translation “Flaming Torch”
