Capital allocation doesn't have to buying other shitcos mate. It can be reinvesting into own company via share buyback (the most sensible option for a company running a good business with high IRR and what I would assume you would go for considering your commentary) or dividend (so instead of them putting it in the bank and earning interest while you take all kinds of risk on the equity, you can do that or whatever you want with the money, including putting the money in bank if you want). This is not rocket science
