Silver has the dual use of precious metals and industrial.
Industrial yes, some for conductivity and light reflectance esp. used in solar panels.
Demand for photo-voltaics is up but thrifting is occurring as well e.g. the Chinese are endeavoring to use one silver film rather than 2 in PV.
Silver did have a very strong surge to $ 26/ oz. when that dynamic was at a peak. It's being balanced between its dual natures at present but there is a good chance for it to surge due to the precious currency one. No simple linkages to complex situations (as are my comments).
