Actually i think the price is doing quite well today, all things considered. I have doubts about all this last minute announcement of positive news though. If the deal was done they would just announce it to the market at the time, so that implies that finance hasn't been successfully organised up to this point, which therefore makes it highly unlikely it would come through in the final hour, although it is possible, very unlikely.
