Duicorp, besides the fact that I'm drowning in my short on the AUD at the moment, I agree with you. Won't go into details but I work for a large Australian firm that competes directly with USD price imports... at the current FX rate and current competitive environment, I don't think will be able to survive in our current form and the unemployment rate will get a big boost... everyone here is on edge and it's looking scary. This FX rate may be helping retailers but I don't think it is great for the economy as a whole. Anyone out there have any other thoughts?

As for me personally, I still can't beleive what has happened over the last month. I'm still short at 0.75 and hoping for a miracle to get out... otherwise I'm in big trouble... it's not looking good though as we've now hit 0.806...

I still believe a correction in equity markets and currency markets will come but who knows when and if that'll happen... I'm hoping the RBA will help me out in the short term : )
