The reason this technology is overlooked in Australia is simple. The Govt and the Greens have an obsession with renewables. Bluegen uses gas! It therefore produces CO2 and is inherently bad in their view. They don't care about less C02 or greater CO2 efficiency. CO2 to these gooses is like narcotics and rum to J Edgar Hoover - put simply, its pure evil that must be eradicated!
Just look at the way Gillard and Co demonize companies as "big polluters". To them, millions of bluegens would be a problem, not part of the solution unfortunately.
Its not the price tag as everyone knows this will plummet with mass production. The first plasma teles cost $30,000 15 years ago!
