Oh No! We're back here again. A million incorrect theories about how the ADR thing works... And its understandable cos it is a bit complex. Philbar, where are you?
There are no shares set aside for the ADRs. The shares will be drawn from our market as needed, pulling supply out of the ASX...
New demand & no new supply = an effect that can only be inflationary in the initial stages. Unless I fundamentally misunderstood that whole 'Invisible Hand of Market Forces' thing in year 11 economics.
The ADRs are intimately linked to the Shares so there shouldn't ever be a big difference in the market price...
I think a few people out there, and on on here too, may just be thinking its actually, finally, close to happening.
