In today's AFR, there is mention that Iluka has been approached by a Chinese group regarding a possible takeover. The board has apparently "politely rejected the offer". There is further speculation that Iluka itself might be looking for acquisitions - 3 companies with mines in Africa were mentioned. Also, according to the author, US based investors are buying heavily into Iluka.
