"Ottaviano says Carnegie hopes to announce its first island project in the next six months, or a “well supported” European locale such as Ireland."

Does anyone else think that the above statement means that the project can only be at one of two places?

Those places being Reunion Island or County Clare in Ireland.

My reasons for for thinking it will be one of those two locations is as follows:

    1. A project to be signed off within six months would have to have undergone extensive preparatory work before a project would be given the go ahead.  That would include foreshore licences, environmental studies, wave monitoring, bethnic surveys, etc.

    2.   Those preparations would almost certainly have been done for Reunion Island, given that DCNS were in the process of deploying Ceto 4 before it was obliterated by a cyclone.

    3. An investigative foreshore licence was applied for at the County Clare site two years ago allowing plenty of time to make sure everything is ready.

"Carnegie has inked a deal with French utility EDF which will make it EDF’s preferred energy supplier."

That statement by MO might have relevance.
