If you had 99% of shares in the hands of RIO and it was still traded, the remaining 1% of shares would rise and fall as traders come and go. It is that free float which is being valued, not the mass of underlying shares nor the actual asset.

If you must sell now then you have to take the free-float valuation, my heart goes out to you.

However, if you can wait until RIO starts making its offer to the top 20 then you will ride that wave of fundamental valuation, you will get what management and the top 20 negotiate not what the day traders are deciding at the moment.
