don't get me wrong I believe LYC will have a bright future in a long run.
however in relation to the speculation on China's supply:
1, they have attempted before around 2011 against Japan but failed at WTO;
2, China has been a guard and advocate for international cooperation and globalisation these days. it won't break challenge WTO ruling;
3, the only thing that China can potentially do is to use the gov's executive power to punish its producers on environmental concerns, hoping the fine will pass to the buyers including the US. but President Xi just visited the factory last month (these major producers are gov-owned), unlikely China won't impose a fine.
4, US, Japan and EU may have stored enough reserve to absorb some impact. China don't want to hurt Japan and EU this time cos they need group together to uphold global trade.
5 does LYC produce heavy rare earth or just light rare earth? please enlighten me. thanks.
