No I do not think Robots read the news. But trained people do. They then change te paramiters that controll the algorithems that the robots use. AI is enabling robots to see trends before people do. and this is used to speed trading. It is also output to people so they can modify operating paramiters. I use structerd notes for my investing. These could not exist without automated trading. The yeilds are getting better and better because the programs are improving. Ultimatly it still comes down to what people tell the robot to do. I doubt that will change in my life time but it will probally will change some day. For structered notes see Post #: 40487425
