I have covered this before. For the benefit of some HC members, I am reiterating that many factors are affecting the share price. LYC's earnings is definitely dependent on the price of RE. Until the Malaysian politicalinfluence is settled, it appears the SP reacts to politics a lot more than RE prices.
Most recent cases:
- 30-May-2019 5:30PM - Malaysian PM Dr. Mahathir said that "We will allow Lynas to carry on". SP shot up by 11% the next day 31-May-2019 while Nr price did not move at all.
- 06-Aug-2019 - News on Malaysian Government plans to extend Lynas license. SP shot up by 16.5% in the next 4 session and Nr price only moved by a couple of percentage points.
- In the last 7 days, LYC has gone up 4.4% while the Nr prices has dropped 2.25%.
