I don't know if it really works that way otherwise Facebook, Google and the like would maybe have no or little valuation rather than the massive one's they do have. Indeed many companies have intrinsic value of what they can or are likely to do. This notion the "market " is some kind of perfect "all seeing eye "is a fallacy .Warren Buffet and Co have made fortunes because of the market not understanding the situation and basically being "wrong" !!
