Some of you may have picked this up earlier:
Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI) compiles influential indexes tracked by thousands of fund managers. These Indexes cover thousands of stocks under an array of categories. These are used as benchmarks to measure the performance of portfolios.
MSCI is due to provide an investors’ update regarding any changes to the composition of its widely followed indices. Wilson analysts predict no changes to the Australia index, but many changes for the MSCI Small Cap index.
Wilson's predict new entrants to include Soul Pattinson, Afterpay Touch, Lynas (LYC), Bingo Industries, Servcorp, Blue Sky Alternative Investments, CleanTeq, Ausdrill, BWX Ltd and RCR Tomlinson.
If Lynas is included they would acquire a higher profile in terms of the professional investment world and that in turn should be share price supportive.
