That's funny, you talking about Australians being too local sighted when you called the real estated train stopped based on the prices of 2 capital cities in Australia. What about the rest of the country ? As for rental returns of 5% being terrible what was the return from LYC since they began operating the LAMP ? And you expect realestate investors to invest in them ?

And nope it wasn't a generic downramping attempt, investors tend to stick to investments they are comfortable with so active real estate investors tend to stick to realestate the same way stock traders stick to the stock market. For the others who allocate a percentage of the portfolio to each type of investment it makes no difference as even if they were to exit a property in Sydney the cash would likely be transfered to another property in another capital city rather then gambled on LYC. But that was probably just wishful thinking on your part.
What makes you think that I would be frustrated with LYC ? I can wait patiently for my entry point as right now I have no skin in the game so don't have anything to lose if it goes up or down. Unlike some posters here unfortunate enough to have got in at higher prices after believing some of the tripe posted here pre consolidation.
