ASX volume matches Commsec volume - so no Commsec glitch - no closing auction trades.
I bet this is what happens when everyone is sitting waiting to see if there is a takeover in the wind. Punters are still scared of buying only to see the SP get shorted down. Shorters scared of getting caught by a takeover. Manipulators don't want to sell hard and not have stock if a takeover move happens. Everyone wondering what AL has in mind ...
My guess is any time someone tries to drive the SP down now - as much as they want to sell will get gobbled up by the Accumulator at 8.1 to 8.2 as happened yesterday.
If this continues, the punters will get some confidence to buy based on the improving fundamentals and they will lead the breakout.
