Nth RE, 800lb Gorilla in the room just made 5Y low.
While the only Chinese RE SOE to remain profitable last year its earnings were off 90%.
RE basically viewed as a poor investment ATM, China's previous industry structure was a basket case and reform has been slowed by fiscal stimulus 2013/14, it took the demand collapse 2015 to introduce some urgency, and this was formalised in the current 5YP, cleared laid out for all to see.
China now in the final stages of the initial investment phase to restructure the industry to 5YP objectives. Again the execution is plain for all to see.
Lynas is a proxy to successful execution, uniquely so.
