An Australian citizen and father of six, Dan has already survived 18 months of indignity in solitary confinement awaiting extradition with no local charges or criminal history. During this time he has:
- lost his mother,
- his family’s assets have been stripped,
- his mental and physical health has seriously deteriorated,
- he’s been unable to defend himself,
- he’s suffered COVID in solitary and
- he’s missed numerous family milestones like birthdays, two Christmases and anniversaries.
He now faces 65 years in a US federal prison for 12 year old allegations he strongly denies, and are not even a crime in Australia.
Dan has been a permanent resident of Australia since 2002, and an Australian citizen since 26 Jan 2012.
