Good post. As pointed out by others, if you read threads about other stocks, there are so many stories about prices being manipulated so that large investors can buy stock for cheap prices. I reckon that most times these are just made up stories.

But with the lithium market though, I am more willing to go with a conspiracy theory - as Big Oil has money that is beyond comprehension and has a strong vested interest for the current fossil fuel based energy system to continue.

I dont know whether the end goal is to takeover companies, but more to make them go broke, bring down the price of lithium so that making batteries is cheaper, or get rid of the whole sector. Although the latter is probably not gong to happen now that BP and Shell are getting involved in battery production.
