I don't understand investors. Sunbird is only one well in one block in which we have 18.5% interest, still we're down almost 22%.Guys this is a stand alone well,what would happen if more wells were drilled and they are tied together in a area wide development. Yes they become commercial
Other targets in this block are much bigger and not drilled yet.
News says "possibly not commercial", so what. I've seen a deepwater area where 5 wells were drilled, none were commercial. One or more big oil companies left(still unclear) but now the overseeing authority says production starts within 18 months!!
Do they plan to use this new technology SSR(self standing riser)? Can this be used in PCL's blocks if necessary, I think so.
This technology is making commercial reserves for smaller companies out of discoveries that are too small to be considered commercial by majors is the theory on which Millheim/Atlantis is selling the SSR technology
