If we have a look back to where we were 2 weeks ago when the prelim final report came out and what has transpired since then we can see that things have actually progressed forwards.
When the prelim report was released we knew the patients were being recruited in Burkina Faso and approval was received in Ghana. Approval was pending in Tanzania and Uganda.
Then we hear via email that Ghana and Tanzania are not going to proceed!!!!
Today we get news that the Burkina Faso leg has been treating patients, and that Ghana and Tanzania will start as soon as some cash is sent over. The implication here is that Tanzania has been granted approval, and that with the 4 countries there will be more than the 150 necessary (meaning we don't need to worry about Uganda).
So we have greater clarity and the trial has been progressing. It seems like a good announcement/development to me.
