Unilife begins trading on Nasdaq By Paula Holzman 18 min. ago
32 views York County-based Unilife Corp. today began trading its shares on the Nasdaq under the ticker symbol UNIS.
CEO Alan Shortall is scheduled to ring the Nasdaq closing bell Monday.
"This is a major step for Unilife Corporation, signifying the completion of its transition from the Australian Stock Exchange into a publicly listed U.S. company," Shortall said in a statement. "I believe moving the company to the U.S. and listing our common stock on a major international exchange complements our rapid emergence as a global leader for innovative safety medical devices."
Unilife last spring moved its global headquarters from Australia to Central Pennsylvania and is building a $26 million facility in Conewago Township.
