Liquidation can only be avoided with the forbearance of Seven Group Holdings. They would do this if they wish to negotiate with the shareholders so as to avoid liquidation. In liquidation Seven would likely lose the benefit of the significant tax losses. However, Seven could walk away and force liquidation. Many shareholders believe that, even in a liquidation scenario, there will be residual value for distribution to shareholders ... time will tell.
