Impatient One

Fairly straight forward.

Download the trades csv file at end of day.
Build a spread sheet which allows you to sort on time, price, size of order etc
Start matching exact times of trades - noting type of trade i.e. XXT
Look for patterns at price time and size - amazing how you find neat chunks say 50,000 , 40,000 etc which then meet a nice neat total 200,000 etc
Look also for sales i.e. the stealth accumulator has sold back a typical smaller chunk
Balance out the the buys and sells and timing and bingo wen you find a nice neat no typically 100,000 200,000 etc you know there is a fair chance someone crafty is at work.
Typically when you find hot activity in compressed time periods you can find very easily what I am talking about.
The really crafty ones can work on this for a whole day.
