Hi Pigs,
They are minimum parcels to be eligible to participate in the SPP, hence many people getting on board for small amounts as they know they can buy potentially up to $15k more at 20% discount (assuming theres no scale back).
Not sure if price will hold short term as theres no real benefit except to people who hold lots of shares. All new investors will hope SP drops significantly from here to pick up more shares for less. This effectively dilutes the holdings for long term holders. I sold down to a minimum amount earlier this week and now just hold a token registry to be eligible. Hope the SP now drops further, before recovering significantly after the SPP.
