I have no idea , at what price the rubies will fetch.
In today's announcement ..
Mustang’s dispatched ruby parcels contained five special stones including two rare 24 ct rubies, totaling 75 cts.
As of today, Mozambique rubies between 4 cts to 4.99 cts offer promising market prices varying from US$18,425 per ct to US$42,000 per ct. Further, the value of ruby with higher stone sizes of more than five carats is normally negotiated between buyers and sellers for higher prices.
Taking out the 2 rare rubies totaling 48cts , leaves 27cts at say a weighted average of $30,000 per ct gives $810K .
Even if the 2 rare rubies return the high US $42k per ct , the total for the package would be $2.8M US or $3.75M Aust.
I understand this is all conjecture and a rough calculation , and should be on the low size as I used the only price available which is for stones 4cts to 4.99cts , and obviously the 7 rubies are bigger than this.
