Seems Greens want to block everything WPL wants to do.

In the meantime, we have Ichthys going to Darwin with no gas reserved by the NT and Gove Alumina looking like it will shut down unless it can get gas. Gove currently burns high sulphur Kuwaiti crude which contributes to it being one of Australia's biggest polluters. INPEX, therefore, can ship LNG to Japan whilst NTs biggest private employer closes down! Brilliant!

The inevitable result is Browse gas will go to FLNG (operated by Shell) or to NWS. Odds on the latter would be 10%, former 90%. None of Shell, BP, BHP has any interest in WPL growing in stature.

WPL really needs to get its Corporate Affairs people to sort out the Feds. They need to bring back Gary Gray, who may be at a loose end after the next election.
