Hi Book. Given that the primary point of differentiation between BOQ and all the other banks lies in their owner-manager branch structure, can you see a takeover proceeding in a harmonious fashion?
It seems to me that centralising branch operations would significantly lessen the strength of the entrepreneur model, which is possibly their greatest competitive advantage. Wouldn't this mean that any takeover move would, effectively, be for the name only, rather than for the current business paradigm?
If this line of argument is valid, then any takeover premium would be thin, at best.
