Solar & Wind turbines are great in some situations like on farms that dont have massive power requirements.
But in cities and manufacturing that needs to produce steel and aluminium etc, solar & wind dont make near enough.
They require massive land areas, a lot of mining, a lot of infrastructure, they’re unreliable, parts fail and need replacing, parts can be damaged by fire and the weather.
They also produces massive quantities of toxic waste that never degrades (Heavy metals that are hard to contain and may end up in waterways and food). How do you permanently seal up tons and tons and tons of panels, glass, cadmium, lead, huge blades.
Nuclear produces by volume very small amounts of waste and even that will be reduced as new tech comes along with different processes. Also, radiation degrades over time.
The total of all nuclear waste of every country over 60 yrs would fit on a football oval.
