Gordon2 - reading through these posts again - I went a bit off-topic with my insistence on the Greeks - apologise - have a bit of the schoolmaster/mistress in me.
Red Cedar?  Don't know much about him/her - first post on these pages of the 'chattering classes' was about setting a kind of competition of which plant from the Middle East was loved by donkeys, goats and horses and also used in jewellery.  He/she didn't bother to read all the answers by these worthy posters here, because the correct one was posted 3-times - until he/she triumphantly came up with 'Carob' - no apology received.
So obviously someone who doesn't read that much on HC - or does not respond.
