Hi mate,
Boots has a great temperament. He is very gentle and no aggressive tendencies at all. He does bark judiciously at strangers at the front door so he is worth his salt as a biological burglar deterrent.
Our oldest son has special needs and Boots has bonded with him very closely. Michael, our son, was choking on a foreign object the other day and Boots forced my wife to go up stairs to help him. Fortunately Michael had managed to cough up the foreign object before my wife got there but it certainly made us more certain that this dog is fantastic and a great member of our family.
As far as I am concerned the epilepsy is a non issue.
