Uts,
I like your strategy but have you ever considered a stop-win strategy also?
I know it sounds weird and can often be confusing but in certain situations with specific stocks I set a certain amount I want from a rally, or a condition which if met I will sell.
In original tol issue, I bought at 1.13 in january and sold at 1.50 because of this, I knew after TOL it would jump hugely then slump a bit, but didn't know how much (obviously it went to 1.60+) but I got out with my 40%.. othertimes I consider specs too risky so I set a 20% target and get out. Othertimes its based on Buyer/seller ratio, or TA triggers...
On MAD I used buyer/seller ratio and it cost me some profits, 4-5c/share here and there between runs but the buyer/seller ratio helped me pin-point the runs and get out as they slowed down incase of a retrace.
Just a thought really, a lot of people think I'm stupid for not holding on for greater gains but I only aim for 20% per year growth anyway..
