It is not uncommon to see ASX announcements by companies for the purpose of providing updates ( in between the half yearly and annual reports). Surely with the current share price decline now is the time we need an update from Myer management to hopefully give us some re-assurance that the business is performing okay or in line with expectations/projections. At least this could provide a measure of comfort to us Mom and Pop shareholders. There's nothing they can do about the short selling which is having the greatest impact on the share price but at least if we know there is nothing "out of left field" going on with the business it would be useful. Silence is corrosive to a share price in the current circumstances. And it would be heartening to see Directors buying some shares on market to give us a bit of confidence the ship in not sinking. As for the ASX's lack of a Please Explain ( reverse speeding ticket) I am utterly dismayed, in fact disgusted, nothing has been forthcoming.
