You seem to be a fair logical thinker, but many on here think of POS like their exwife.
I think of POS like the true believers who are LTHs in POS and wait for the day in the sun again.
I know and have met and worked with some of them.
They have waited patiently since 2006, were rewarded with a 25 bagger in ANL in 1995, were rewarded with a 1000 bagger in FMG in the 2000s and were rewarded with a 25 bagger in POS in 2007.
Sure its a low SP and many who bought in at 18c on average since 2006 and even in the CR in 2014 are peeved like me in many ways but the only way to make money is to buy low and sell high.
POS has done some great well advanced things yet not given any respect or credit, in many ways I think they want to be the underdog and underestimated and cry lowly poorman as it has worked a treat in acquiring $2B of infrastructure for a lowly $50M & $2.5M.
We will find out many years later what they had planned and why they put the SP down here for a while.
I think they are trying to convince someone to sell assets & mills/mines to poorman POS for a pittance yet again like they stumped Norlisk & Niagara & BHP before, I think they want a large player to get cheap shares like Ong or Tsingshan or the chinese so like with ANL FMG it then later does its massive ramp on the back of tightly held shares.
Like before. the POS machine is held very tight and can go up and down very sharply whenever they want. They have patiently waited for 3 years for those Norilsk assets from 2009 to the announcements in July 2014. They did a cheap CR at 7c without any notice of what was about to unfold and then BANG a 3 bagger in 10 days!
If they can wait 7 years for Windarra in C&M they can wait another 7 years if they have to. Easy.
If they can wait 3 years to convince Norilsk to sell 2 massive mills and 2 massive mines worth $1.5B for $2.5M and collapse the SP in 2014 to get their buddies cheap shares in secret, then they will again.
Poorman POS...dont believe it, it is run and held by LEGENDS and many high net worth investors and they love to ramp things up from deep lows every year.
For me, I stay positive and wait. I dont look at the MC and cash at bank, I look at the ready assets & infrastructure and production power at super high grades. Thats the key in mining.
For I know there is a good reason why they want POS to look and act like a poorman again.
Yet whenever they want they will bid for Ravensthorpe for $400M like in 2009 with only $4M cash at bank.
Hey, anyone selling their Ni assets mines and mills cheap to POS will always regret it.
But they are so poooooor and destitute please sir give them away for $2.5M to them, thats all they can afford. In a few years mark my words, you will see the truth why we are down here.
I love good ole poorman POS, seen it every year since 2005, preceding a massive ramp up,
get your cheap shares now true believers last calls bc when NP hits 5.00 this year there wont be any left and the POS team will shock & awe once again.
Im no cheerleader, im a sage and I know people in high places many who are true believers.
I know no one believes me...thats fantastic as I know true wealth is made when the herd is selling at the lows and doesnt see and understand that true wealth is in the assets and in the determined people that believe in them and can and will build them no matter what "smashing through all obstacles in their path" (cf Burrell).
