I think before we all start kicking stones about the Ellume device we should understand what we have and what Ellume does. There are much smarter contributors on this forum than me but here are my thoughts.
The Ellume device requires a nasal swab to test for Covid 19. It can also test for Influenza variants in this way.
The device requires a connection to the cloud for analysis.
It takes 15 minutes.
The BRN device requires a breath sample only to analyse the VOC.
The analysis happens at the edge almost instantaneously. No cloud required.
Our device will have 100's of applications.
Remember, our device was originally conceived and developed to analyse VOCs. The Covid opportunity came later.
Well done Ellume but it is a vastly different animal to BRN. We should all keep that in mind. Cheers.
