    OMG. Are you kidding me? You're basing your assessment on the son/daughter of some anonymous official? There is a reason why Chinese people have little respect for guan er dai or fu er dai's. Because they haven't achieved anything themselves and are unlikely to do so without the support of their parents. I'd base very little on them.

    You're right that this is ripe for manipulation but you are totally wrong in underestimating the baby boom that is about to happen. You sound like a typical Westerner with little understanding of the Chinese's mindset around babies and future generations.
