I'd also think that where possible any level instruments would be remote sealed diaphragm impulse lines with anti freeze fluid or radar. I've seen trace heating used to maintain wet legs and pipework also.
Like you said, nothing that isn't dealt with in neighbouring Kazahkstan, Sakhalin, Canada Oil and Gas etc etc etc.
I'd also think that where possible any level instruments would...
