Shares in West Perth uranium company Uran have risen 48 per cent after the company announced it had reached an agreement with the Ukranian government for an evaluation of its uranium projects in the country.
According to a Uran announcement, the Ukraine’s ministry of Fuel and Energy has been authorised to speed up Uran’s planned final feasibility study of the projects – with state-owned uranium miner VostGOK to form an unincorporated joint venture with the company to mine if the study is positive.
The parties plan to complete an exchange of technical information and finalise the joint venture by the end of May.
Uran shares rose 48.7 per cent this morning to 29 cents, trading at 24 cents, up 23 per cent, at 10.19am.
