I think the reason we get more upset about downrampers, is the basic fact that people scare more easily than they are greedy.
Stock prices go up by the stairs and down by the elevator due to this factor. In other words, IMO, downrampers have more of a negative effect than rampers.
Added to this, if buy high on a ramp, it then goes down, you hang on, the stock might recover. When you sell a stock, you crystallise the loss.
Unless of course it keeps going down to nothing, or you buy back in at lower prices.
Many will just not touch the stock again or the market again IMO.
