    1234 [Dow Jones] Allegiance Mining (AGM.AU) on trading halt pending announcement, Chairman Tony Howland-Rose says announcement doesn't have anything to do with M&A. "It is not M&A related," he tells Dow Jones Newswires. Analysts say announcement likely to be update on Allegiance's Avebury nickel mine in Tasmania. Allegiance has won the backing of Jinchuan Group for Avebury; stock has been staging a recovery after news of delays caused sell off in July and August. Announcement expected Friday morning; last trade flat at 77.5 cents.
