Getting back to the mine itself, I've wondered recently whether all these continued mettalurgical test and circuit process redesigns and tinkering about are ultimately all about trying to make at best marginal metrics a little healthier. A few years ago there was a brief flurry when some intuitive spark mentioned that the Windummura moth-balled mine might be able to process our ore and severely reduce our Capex. In the end, another techie stalwart revealed that because our grades and processing would be so different, the amount of new machinery and processing involved would be almost as expensive as just building something new from scratch. I wonder has that changed recently? Windumurra has been mentioned again very recently...Are these new tests geared towards that outcome? I would really like to get my head around the 'cost curve' of this mine as it seems to have evaporated during all the excitement and hype about batteries and vertical integration etc etc.
