As you suggest, the proposed trade could have originated from a number of sources for a number of reasons.

However, IMO I've seen this scenario play out way too many times in the past to come to the conclusion that it is simply an anomaly, BOT trade or professional accumulation or distribution. TON is getting attention from the market which tends to draw in traders with varying motives.

IMHO it was a two-bob trade designed to bring then sp down to 17c. It turns a 3.5% drop in the sp into a 7% drop. For someone looking to spark a little fear of a re-trace in the minds of retail investors, it usually works a treat. At the open on the following day, what do you know... the nervous nellies capitulate and the cycle continues.

I may be wrong but it is my opinion none the less.
