    Talk about dole bludgers being a burden.

    These golden handshakes for Politicians, far surpass what the ordinary ex worker, pensioner, retiree have to live on, after not lifting a finger in manual work in a factory or trade.

    Mainly using their brains and mouth, .... to me, all overpaid, especially the current Australian Govt.

    When a politician resigns, retires or stood down, (likes of Thomson, maybe), they should only get whatever they have in their superannuation account, same as other Australians.

    They have had a generous income and perks, (Thomson again), whilst employed, so about time the Golden Handshakes stopped.
