Is this relative to an Australian Budget announcement, if so, what link can be accessed, this is not a US NDAA number, US does not publish a specific number, it is all Black Budget for obvious Security reasons.
As the Touter Pog quickly diminished your question, which of course showed you how correctly relevant it actually is\was, my response mirrors hers, means nothing, Australian Government does not use budget money for this type of development.
The Five I budget pool, arguably an unlimited pool, would be tapped for any improved Cyber Defense for NBN or other Telstra infrastructure hardening, as has been going on at NBN since December 2018. Kind of like the Submarine deal that pissed off Macron so badly.
Strategically, Australia just turned down the insertion of any additional US Marines in the North, having shown US Defense specialists during the Australian COVID crisis, how effective the countries Homeland Defense Forces were capable of smashing the heads of any ground based insurgency.
No need for US Marine boots on the ground, when those Australian bad asses are present, probably keep any foreign insurgency, from an invading Asian force think twice about trying a land invasion.
Good question, but a better one is to just call Telstra and ask why Australian customers do not have a Web based purchase option in Australia, or, how many large Australian Integrators, like the company successfully does in the Chinese Cyber Market, incorporate the product in Australian Enterprise Bids. The company can market by saying look, in the toughest market on the planet, we have the Chinese Government using our technology, not home grown, I mean they only have a Chinese user manual, NET does not even bother with a manual in English, biggest customer is JD.com, like we heard on that company call, so these Australian Integrators can jump on Board with the cutting edge of China Cyber.
